Franck is a charming 7-month-old, 22 lb Jack Russell Terrier mix with a heart full of love and a tail that wags with joy! He’s a social butterfly who adores human company and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, children, men, and women. Franck was found abandoned and bravely overcame a severe case of mange that sadly resulted in the loss of part of his tail. Now healthy and bursting with life, he’s eager to leave his past behind and embark on a new adventure with a loving family. He absolutely thrives on affection and feels most secure when showered with pets and attention.
Ideal Home
Franck would love a home with an active family who enjoys the outdoors and has a securely fenced backyard. He’s looking for a family with a genuine desire to rescue a dog, understanding the unique needs of street animals and their journey towards protection and education. Families with prior experience in dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a trainer, are ideal. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are a must, as he is not house-trained.
Ongoing Health
Franck has recovered from mange and is up-to-date on all his vaccinations and preventative care, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, deworming, and monthly Nexgard Spectra for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He has also been tested for heartworm (negative) and 4DX. He has a spay/neuter certificate and a health certificate.
Training & Support
Franck is not house-trained, and adopters should be prepared to work on this. It’s important to understand that rescued dogs may need time to adjust and build trust due to past experiences. Patience, a consistent routine, and a safe, loving environment are key to helping Franck thrive.
