Hiromi is a beautiful Belgian Malinois mix, approximately 4 years old and weighing around 36 lbs. She was found as a stray in Mexico, underweight and covered in fleas and ticks, but her sweet nature never wavered. Today, Hiromi is a happy, healthy, and active girl who adores people and is ready to find her forever family. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but quickly warms up and shows her affectionate, loving side. Hiromi is crate and leash-trained, making her a fantastic companion for walks and adventures. She's intelligent and thrives with regular exercise and mental stimulation, characteristic of her breed mix. Hiromi is looking for a family to cherish her and give her the happy ending she deserves.
Ideal Home
Hiromi would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. She needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue and a deep understanding of the needs of rescued street animals, including their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is highly valued, and a willingness to hire a professional trainer is a must. High tolerance and patience are essential for a rescued dog like Hiromi.
Ongoing Health
Hiromi has received comprehensive vet care, including being spayed, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, and microchipped. She has also tested negative for heartworm and 4DX diseases and is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Nexgard Spectra). She has a health certificate and vaccine booklet. It's important to note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and may not be house-trained.
Training & Support
Hiromi is crate and leash trained, but she is not house-trained. It is important to understand that rescued pets may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and will need time to adjust to a new environment.
