Jake

Meet Jake! This handsome fellow is a five-year-old, 65-pound Plott Hound/Lab mix who is pure joy on four legs. He has a wonderfully optimistic outlook on life that's truly infectious. Jake is currently enjoying life in a foster home, where he's been a model citizen! He's house-trained, crate-trained, and eager to please, making him a fantastic companion. Jake loves his toys, especially plushies, and is very treat-motivated. He knows several commands and is happy to share his food and toys with his humans. When it's time to relax, Jake is a master snuggler, often resting his chin on your lap for a cozy nap. He's also a great traveler, riding well in the car and walking nicely on a leash with a confident handler. After a good patrol of the yard, he loves to unwind on the couch. Jake sleeps soundly through the night, ready for a new day of adventures.

Ideal Home

Jake would thrive in an active but predictable home. He'd do well with adults or families with children aged eight and up. He would likely be happiest as the only pet, where he can receive all the attention. A fenced-in yard is preferred for his outdoor explorations.

Ongoing Health

Jake is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Jake is already house-trained and crate-trained. He knows several commands and has shown no issues with his foster dad taking his toys or food away. Continued positive reinforcement will help him continue to shine.
