Leona

We rescued Leona from euthanasia at a high-kill shelter in SoCal. She's a loving 6-year-old, 95-pound lady who enjoys a relaxed lifestyle. Leona has a slight limp in her front leg due to an old injury that healed improperly. The vet has determined that surgery is not an option, but thankfully, she doesn't seem to be in much pain and uses the leg well. Leona absolutely adores people, offering plenty of cuddles and kisses. While she's generally fine around other dogs, she's not particularly interested in playing with them. She's a very chill companion who would be perfect for a home that prefers quiet lounging and short walks over strenuous activity. She also enjoys car rides!

Ideal Home

Leona would thrive in a home that appreciates a calm companion. She's looking for a household that prefers lounging around the house with short walks rather than a lot of outside activity.

Ongoing Health

Leona has an old break in her front leg that healed improperly. There are no surgical options, and the vet does not recommend removal as she uses the leg. The vet believes she is not in significant pain.

Leona is a well-behaved girl who is leash trained, potty trained, kennel trained, and house trained.
