Oscar

Oscar is a sweet, approximately 1-year-old male Labrador mix who weighs 32 lbs. He has a big heart and a joyful spirit, making him a social butterfly with children, men, and women. Oscar forms bonds quickly and loves spending time with people and other dogs. Playtime is his favorite, and his friendly personality is sure to win you over!

Ideal Home

Oscar would thrive in an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. He's looking for a home with people who have experience with dog behavior and training, or are willing to hire a trainer. A high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies is essential.

Ongoing Health

Oscar has a minor neurological tic due to distemper, which is noticeable when he's resting. This does not affect his happy life or loving nature. He has received a spay/neuter certificate, DHPPi and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, has been dewormed, microchipped, and tested for 4DX and heartworm (both negative). He is up-to-date on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra).

Training & Support

It's important to understand that Oscar is not house-trained. Rescued dogs often require an adjustment period and patience to build trust and adapt to a new environment. Providing a safe, loving environment and establishing a consistent routine will be key to his success.

Transportation

Oscar is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Door-to-door delivery is available through a contracted transport company for a fee of $400 USD. Scheduled trips occur 3-4 times per year, with real-time updates provided during the journey.
