Doris is the tiniest and most sensitive soul of her little family. When this litter of 5 was rescued, Doris was definitely the most shy and unsure of the world around her. As the smallest puppy of the group, she naturally hung back to carefully observe everything before deciding if she felt safe enough to join in. She watched her siblings, watched the other dogs, and quietly took in the world around her. What makes Doris so special is that underneath that cautious little exterior is an incredibly silly, playful, and joyful puppy who simply needed the opportunity to build confidence at her own pace. Every single day Doris becomes more playful, more expressive, and more confident. Once she feels comfortable, she gets everybody running around in zoomies and happily joins in the fun with the other dogs. She absolutely loves being around dogs and gains so much confidence from observing and learning from them. One of our favorite things is that whenever she gets excited, one little ear shoots straight out to the side. She is going to make an incredibly sweet and deeply rewarding companion for the family willing to continue helping her build confidence with patience, structure, and love.
Ideal Home
Doris would thrive in a home with another confident, balanced dog who can continue helping guide her while also encouraging her playful and silly side to keep growing. She truly blossoms when she feels supported, understood, and safe enough to simply enjoy being a puppy.
