Annie

Annie is a sweet, spunky Shih Tzu and Poodle mix puppy with a heart full of love! At around 3-4 months old and weighing 7 lbs, she's estimated to reach about 20 lbs when fully grown. Annie is an affectionate and curious pup who adores being doted on. She's always the first to investigate new things, making her a confident explorer. Annie is a social butterfly who loves meeting new people and furry friends, making her a great companion for an active family. Her adaptable and laid-back nature means she'll fit right into various home environments and is always up for an adventure or a cozy cuddle session. Whether she's playing with her foster siblings, chasing her toys, or just lounging with her humans, Annie is guaranteed to have a good time.

Ideal Home

Annie would thrive in a home where she's an included member of the family, receiving plenty of love, exercise, and attention. A fenced yard would be wonderful for her to run and play in. She'd love a home with another playful, friendly dog and children to play and cuddle with. Alternatively, she'd be just as happy as the "only child," receiving all the affection. She is not suited for public dog parks. She would love to go on outings around town or visit Sniff Spots. If her humans work outside the home, a dog walker or doggy daycare is recommended, as she cannot be left alone for 8+ hours without playtime and potty breaks.

Ongoing Health

Annie is starting to experience teething, so her new family will need to provide appropriate chew toys and supervise her to ensure she doesn't chew on inappropriate items.

Training & Support

Annie is kennel trained and potty trained, and has begun leash training. She sleeps through the night in her kennel and is comfortable napping in it with the door open. She alerts her foster family when she needs to go outside by circling at the back door. It is recommended to use a doggy doorbell to help her learn to communicate this need. She will require a consistent schedule and frequent potty breaks initially in her new environment. She would love to snuggle in bed with her humans at night when she is older. While she enjoys being carried in a doggy pouch for outings, she will need additional practice to perfect her leash walking skills. She would benefit from a family that is home more often than not, or has arrangements for midday care if they work outside the home.

• The adoption fee is $850, which includes a $400 adoption fee, a $250 transport fee, and a $200 refundable spay deposit.
• The adoption fee covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, a health certificate, and any necessary vet care while in rescue.
• The refundable spay deposit is paid directly to the adopter's vet once Annie is old enough for the procedure.
• Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. Please allow a few days for review as the rescue is volunteer-run.
• Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption approval.

Transporation

Annie is currently located in a foster home. Transport is available to various cities and states with monthly transports. Adoptive families will need to meet the transport to pick up their new family member. Dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to transport, and meet-and-greets are not possible due to transport distances.
