Meet Layla, a stunning 5-year-old pup with a gorgeous, light brown coat and big, upright ears that just beg for ear scratches. We believe she's a Shepherd-Pitty mix, but what's certain is that she's one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet, with a heart full of love waiting for her forever family.
Layla can be a little shy at first, taking her time to warm up to new people. But once she trusts you, her tail wags, her eyes sparkle, and she showers you with quiet, devoted affection. She's a gentle soul who loves to curl up beside you, soak in pets, and remind you that love doesn't always need words.
Layla is an absolute doggy superstar! Her tail wags the moment she sees her four-legged friends, and she truly thrives with a canine companion. She's social, friendly, and polite with other dogs, happily snuggling, chilling, or walking side-by-side with them.
Ideal Home
Layla would do best in a home with a calm, aloof male dog who can help her feel safe and confident. She's not looking for a high-energy playmate, but rather a best friend for life. She's also cat-tolerant, giving kitties their space. For children, older kids around 8 and up would be ideal due to her sensitivity to new people and touch. If you have younger children, a "kid test" can be arranged to ensure everyone is comfortable. She's happiest in a home where she can decompress, feel safe, and let her personality shine at her own pace. While apartment living is possible, she may need some help building leash confidence in new environments.

- The adoption fee is $900, which includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, deworming, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 12-month heartworm injectable preventative, heartworm test and treatment if needed, microchip with free lifetime registration, a Martingale collar, health certificate for travel, and transport costs).

Transportation
We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. This includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Canadian adopters can pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. You can track your pet's journey in real-time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
