Navajo is a sweet, affectionate, and easygoing 6.5-year-old Pitbull mix who brings the perfect balance of playful energy and relaxed companionship. He's the kind of dog who's just as happy joining you for a daily walk as he is curling up nearby for a cozy evening at home. Navajo enjoys playing with other dogs, particularly in one-on-one or small group settings, and can be a gentle giant with smaller pups. He's polite and non-reactive on leash, though he might pull a little when excited at the start of a walk. Navajo is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and can be left loose in the house without signs of separation anxiety. He loves meeting people and has done well around children. He adores toys, is a champion cuddler, rides well in the car, is a favorite at the vet, and has no issues with stairs. He also has a quirky habit of napping in unusual spots like laundry baskets or bathtubs!
Ideal Home
Navajo would thrive in a stable, moderately active home that enjoys daily walks, occasional outings, and lots of affection. He doesn't need an ultra-active lifestyle, just consistent exercise, love, and companionship. He could do well as an only dog or with a compatible canine friend. Navajo would do best in a cat-free home as he has shown a strong prey drive and fixation towards cats.
Ongoing Health
Navajo needed dental work upon arrival and had several damaged teeth removed, including his canines. His remaining teeth are healthy, and he still happily chews his favorite bones.
Training & Support
Navajo generally reads social cues well but may occasionally need gentle redirection if he gets a little too excited during play. He has made great progress with his doggy manners at daycare.
