Ashton

Meet Ashton, a handsome 4 year and 7 month old Yellow Labrador Retriever who weighs in at 88 pounds. Ashton is a real sweetheart with a big personality to match! He was a beloved family dog since he was a puppy, but sadly, his family had to move and couldn't take him with them. This has been a big adjustment for Ashton, but he's handling it like the happy, energetic boy he is, taking everything in stride. He absolutely loves to play fetch – he'll bring the ball right back for another toss! Ashton enjoys being active and spending quality time with his people. He's a strong guy who sometimes forgets his own size, but he's incredibly sweet and has gotten along wonderfully with the other dogs at the shelter.

Ashton is looking for a committed family who will provide him with the lifelong stability and love he deserves after losing the only home he's ever known.

Ongoing Health

Ashton is heartworm positive and will receive treatment here at the shelter. Moving forward, he will need a family committed to keeping him on monthly heartworm prevention and ensuring he receives regular veterinary care to keep him happy and healthy for years to come.

Training & Support

Ashton is a strong boy who doesn't always realize his own size, so some continued guidance on his strength and manners will be beneficial. He's a smart boy and will surely pick up on new routines quickly with a loving family.
