Lil Sis

Lil Sis is ready to travel to a community that will truly cherish her as a family member. She is currently in Oklahoma at our rescue. Because we want her transition to be as smooth as possible, we arrange direct-to-adopter transport to specific cities. Adoptions are finalized in advance so that Lil Sis can hop off the transport and right into your waiting arms. We stand by our pups for life; in the rare event it isn't a perfect match, Lil Sis is never without a safety net. She will simply return to our care in Oklahoma on the next available transport until her perfect home is found.

Meet Lil Sis: The Sweetest Little Pocket Companion! Lil Sis is 8 months old (as of July 8) and weighs 8 pounds. She is a Chihuahua / Schnauzer Mix who is people-loving, quiet, and incredibly sweet. If you are looking for a gentle, pint-sized pup to brighten up your days, Lil Sis is ready to steal your heart! This adorable girl is a unique blend of Chihuahua and Schnauzer, giving her the absolute best of both worlds.

You might be wondering where Lil Sis got her name—her siblings actually came into our rescue a few months ago and were quickly snapped up by loving families! They are all doing absolutely wonderfully in their forever homes and now it is finally this sweet girl's turn to find her perfect match. Lil Sis found herself in our care recently through no fault of her own when her previous owner's landlord unfortunately wouldn't allow her to stay.

For a young pup, Lil Sis has an incredibly mature, gentle demeanor. She is a total sweetheart who has been an absolute joy to care for. She absolutely loves people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. She is a naturally quiet girl who takes life in stride. She does beautifully in her crate in our rescue building. The moment she is let outside, she goes potty immediately, which gives us a very strong feeling she is already housebroken! She hasn't been officially tested on a leash just yet, but she is smart, eager to please, and sure to pick it up in a heartbeat.

Ideal Home

Because Lil Sis is a delicate 8 pounds, she would thrive best in a home without very small children to ensure she stays safe during playtime. She is the perfect size for apartment living, cozy couch cuddles, and tags along perfectly on daily adventures. Lil Sis is ready for her happy ending. If you have room in your heart for a loyal, quiet, and deeply affectionate companion, Lil Sis can't wait to meet you!

Ongoing Health

Lil Sis is already spayed and up-to-date on all her essential vaccinations (Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella). She tested negative for heartworm on July 8. She has been dewormed and is kept on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To ensure she is in tip-top shape for her new family, she will be microchipped and receive a fresh fecal exam and a certified Health Certificate. All performed within 10 days of her transport date.

Training & Support

She hasn't been officially tested on a leash just yet, but she is smart, eager to please, and sure to pick it up in a heartbeat.

• Lil Sis' adoption fee is $1,200. This fee is all-inclusive, covering her spay, all veterinary care listed above, and her seat on a professional transport service dedicated to getting her safely to your area.

• We do our best to respond quickly! If you haven't heard from us within 48 hours, please don't hesitate to check back in. We have had reports of our application not submitting.
