Mason

Mason is a charming 6-month-old, 32-pound Miniature American Shepherd mix who arrived at our rescue on June 11th. He spent his early puppyhood in a county shelter kennel, waiting for a brighter future. Initially, new experiences like leashes and crates were overwhelming for him, and he would often exhibit submissive urination when feeling worried. However, Mason has made incredible progress! He now happily enters his crate for meals, has bonded with the other dogs in foster care, and reliably comes when called. His eagerness to learn and please is truly heartwarming.

Ideal Home

Mason would thrive in a home with someone experienced with young dogs or enthusiastic about continuing his training journey. A confident and playful canine companion would be a fantastic addition to his life, as he looks to his friend Patty for reassurance and would benefit from a similar relationship in his new home. He needs a securely fenced yard to safely explore and expend his puppy energy. Mason would do best in a cat-free environment.

Mason is fully vetted and currently on monthly preventatives.

Training & Support

Mason is crate-trained and house-trained. He has also proven to be trustworthy when left unsupervised for short periods. He knows his name and responds enthusiastically to nicknames like "May May," "Maybe," or "Maybe Baby."

Mason is currently located in our rescue. We adopt to multiple states and can arrange safe transport with trusted partners for out-of-state adopters.
