Callie is a 45-lb terrier mix with a heart full of love and a zest for life! This 5-and-a-half-year-old sweetheart is incredibly energetic and playful, always ready for a game of fetch or a good romp in the yard. She was previously adopted by a loving family but sadly returned when their new home couldn't accommodate pets. Callie adores sleeping on the bed and discovering new smells in the yard. Her days are filled with play, silliness, naps, and of course, treat time, all while managing her Addison's Disease with daily medication and monthly vet visits. She's spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and house-trained, making her a well-rounded companion ready to bring joy to her forever family.
Ideal Home
Callie would thrive in a home with children, but she needs to be in a cat-free environment as she really doesn't like them. She would love a family that enjoys engaging in fun activities with her.
Ongoing Health
Callie has Addison's Disease, a condition where her adrenal glands don't produce enough hormones. She manages this with a monthly injection of Percorten-V (which requires a vet visit) and takes Prednisone 5mg by mouth every other day to stay stable. She requires labs every 6 months and daily medication. While not contagious, the ongoing veterinary care and medication can be costly, but with the necessary support, Callie can live a long and fulfilling life.
Training & Support
Callie is house-trained and past her puppy phases. She is eager to please and will flourish with consistent love and routine.
