Meet Lainey, a beautiful girl with a heart and soul bigger than her body! Lainey was brought in as a stray in November 2025 with no known background, and she’s estimated to be around three years old. She’s currently being fostered in Addison, Texas.
Lainey has truly bloomed under her foster’s care, embodying the spirit of a cozy house hippo. She spends her days napping with her stuffed animal babies on the couch, punctuated by occasional zoomie breaks with a chew bone. She happily follows her foster’s two-year-old around the house. Lainey loves children, especially little ones, and she has been dog and cat friendly! She enjoys long walks and stays right by your side without pulling on the leash. She rarely barks and is generally very quiet! Potty training is going well, and she hasn’t had an accident in a long time!
Ideal Home
Lainey can get nervous around loud or energetic dogs and will try to hide, so if her forever home has pets, she would prefer calmer ones. Loud noises from people do not affect her, nor do toddler tantrums.
Ongoing Health
Lainey is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment, which is fully covered by Mutts N Such Rescue. All dogs receive a health exam by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport and will be current on flea and heartworm prevention.
Training & Support
Lainey is doing very well with potty training. She is generally quiet and walks well on a leash.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- The adoption fee for out-of-state adoptions is $350 plus transport (which varies by location).
- This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old.
- Mutts N Such Rescue reserves the right to deny any application deemed unsuitable for the animal. Adoptions are not on a first-come, first-served basis; the goal is to find the best possible home for each animal.
Transportation
Lainey is currently being fostered in Texas but is available for transport. All dogs are fostered in Texas or Pennsylvania and are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. Video calls are used for adoption interviews and meet-and-greets.
