About Lucy

Hi, I’m Lucy—a silky‑soft, one‑year‑old sweetheart with a gentle soul and the cutest dramatic flair. I’m still a medium‑sized girl at about 35-40 pounds, and I’m spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I’m mellow in the house, easy to live with, and happiest when I’m near my people.

I’m a sweet girl with a vocal streak—nothing wild, just my little “aroooo” when I want something, when you first wake up, or when you come home and I’m excited to see you. I’m obedient and smart, and I know “sit” both verbally and with hand signals. I picked up house training quickly, and I love routine. Bedtime is one of my favorite parts of the day, and I sleep soundly through the night like a respectful little snugglebug.

I get along wonderfully with big dogs, little dogs, and cats. I do have a bit of food aggression, but it’s easily managed—I just eat in my crate. I go right in when I see my bowl, no fuss at all. Outside of mealtime, I’m totally fine sharing space, even if everyone is circling for treats. I’m just protective of my dinner, and that’s something we’ve learned to handle smoothly.

I’m soft all over, but my muzzle is especially kissable. I also came into rescue with an injury on the top of my head. It healed beautifully, but the hair never grew back, so I have a tiny bald spot that makes me even more unique and endearing.

I’m affectionate without being clingy, gentle without being timid, and grateful for every bit of love I get.
