Dachshund: Wren

Meet Wren! This sweet adult female Dachshund, estimated to be 8-9 years old, is dreaming of a family to call her own. She's a friendly girl who loves being around people and other dogs, always ready with a wagging tail when she's excited. Wren enjoys gentle pets and can be easily picked up, showing no fear of humans. She has a knack for finding the comfiest spots, especially her dog bed or a soft blanket, for her naps. Weighing in at a petite 12 pounds, she's a little lady with a big heart. Wren has adapted quickly to her foster home's routine, responding well to her name, "outside," and "treat." She knows her "home spot" is her dog pillow and will willingly go into her kennel for bedtime. While house training is still in progress, she's showing great improvement. Wren is comfortable with stairs, enjoys bath time, and walks nicely on a leash with a harness. She's not protective of her food, space, or toys and has been getting along famously with the three smaller dogs in her foster home. Her foster family describes her as incredibly sweet, and she truly deserves all the love she can get.

Ideal Home

Wren would do best in a calmer home environment and would likely thrive with another dog. She would do well with people of all ages.

Ongoing Health

Wren is spayed, microchipped, vaccinations are current, and she has had her teeth cleaned.

Training & Support

Wren is working on house training and is showing improvement. She has learned to respond to her name, "outside," and "treat."
