Brody

Brody is a playful and affectionate 10-week-old deaf male Red Heeler mix who was found as a stray in Tyler, TX. He's a sturdy boy, weighing in at 10.6 pounds with soft fur and a love for attention. Brody was estimated to be around 10 weeks old when he was found in January 2018, making his birthday approximately November 14, 2017. He's grown significantly since then, weighing 93 pounds as of May 2020. Brody can be vocal when he doesn't want to be alone, and he enjoys his crate with a comfy dog bed.

Ideal Home

Brody would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, as he needs a safe space to play. He also requires a canine companion who can hear, to help guide him and be a playmate. Brody is not suited for apartment living and needs to be supervised around moving vehicles.

Ongoing Health

Brody is deaf, but this doesn't stop him from being vocal when he's feeling lonely or anxious. He received his vaccinations and was neutered on February 17, 2018.

Training & Support

Brody is crate trained and is doing well with house training. He can be vocal when left alone, so continued training and management of his separation anxiety will be important. Owners should always be aware of his location, especially around vehicles.
