Russell

Big beautiful Russell, affectionately known as "Big Boy," is a classic Great Pyrenees with a heart full of sweetness and affection. This gentle giant is two years old and has a striking golden sheen on his back. He arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now ready to find his forever family. Russell is a well-behaved boy who is house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. He absolutely loves car rides and could happily travel for hours! With his big, football-helmet-shaped head, he's always ready to greet people with loving gestures and a wagging tail. He's also good with other dogs and cats, and would likely enjoy a home with a canine playmate to share his toys with.

Ideal Home

Russell would love a home with another dog to play with. All dogs and puppies require visible fencing.

Ongoing Health

Russell is fully vetted, neutered, and heartworm negative. He was underweight upon arrival at 80 lbs, but is likely gaining weight and is on his way to a healthy weight.

Training & Support

Russell is already house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. He is responsive to people and enjoys gentle interaction.

• We have bi-monthly transports to many areas.
• Russell is currently in Texas.
• Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas. Transport costs vary by location. Northeast transport is $200. Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350. Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350.
