Meet Robin! This 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix is about 85 pounds of gentle heart and quiet spirit. Robin came from a hoarding situation, so he's still learning what it means to be loved and how to trust. He's a thoughtful, sensitive soul who takes his time getting comfortable with new people, places, and experiences. Robin isn't the life of the party; he'd actually prefer to skip it altogether! When startled, his instinct is to retreat to a safe space, but with consistency and kindness, he's blossoming beautifully.
Robin truly shines around other dogs. While not overly rambunctious, he enjoys canine companionship and has begun showing a playful side with his foster sibling. He's curious and explores at his own pace, is treat-motivated, and responds well to gentle correction. He's naturally well-mannered and prefers to quietly observe and learn rather than engage in mischievous behavior. Robin is currently a bit lean and is receiving good nutrition to help him fill out into the handsome boy he's meant to be.
Ideal Home
Robin would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard and a patient, understanding adopter who will let him progress at his own pace. He would greatly benefit from a confident resident dog who can help show him the ropes and provide reassurance as he navigates the world. A calm environment where he can continue to learn that the world is a safe place is also ideal.
Ongoing Health
Robin is currently underweight for his size and is receiving good nutrition to help him gain weight.
