CHINOOK

Meet Chinook, a gorgeous and sensitive Pyr mix puppy with potential Anatolian Shepherd genes. She's mellow and watchful, but also playful with her littermates and loves to cuddle! Chinook is a guardian breed, which means she's naturally protective and territorial. To ensure she grows into a well-adjusted adult, early and consistent socialization with other dogs, people, and animals is crucial. Guardian breeds can also be stubborn, willful, and independent, but their loyalty and devotion are unmatched. Chinook bonds strongly to her home environment, so a secure, fenced yard is a must. She has a thick double coat and will typically weigh 80 or more pounds as an adult.

Chinook would thrive in a home that understands and can provide the necessary socialization and training for a guardian breed. A securely fenced yard is essential.

Ongoing Health

Chinook is up-to-date on vaccinations. As a Pyr mix, she has a double coat and double dewclaws.

Training & Support

Guardian breeds require early and ongoing socialization to prevent excessive protectiveness and territoriality. Consistent training and positive reinforcement will be key to helping Chinook thrive. She may be willful and independent, so patience and understanding are important.
