Frankie

Meet Frankie, a gentle soul with a big heart who's ready for his second chance! This sweet 2.5-year-old, 70-pound neutered male American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull mix was found tied up with his sister and is slowly learning that the world can be a kind place. Frankie is a quiet, tender-hearted pup who may seem shy at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through. He's not demanding of attention, but rather quietly seeks comfort by simply being near someone he trusts.

Ideal Home

Frankie would thrive in a patient and understanding home that can help him continue to build his confidence. A quieter household with a predictable routine will help him feel secure. He would likely do well in a calm home with older children who understand how to respect his boundaries. A securely fenced yard is a must, and given his curiosity and ability to escape fencing, supervision outdoors is essential.

Training & Support

Frankie is still a bit green on leash and is afraid of it, sometimes freezing. He is cautious around new people and situations, but this is due to nervousness, not reactivity. He has been house-trained beautifully and does well when left alone. He is learning to wait his turn for treats and understands simple cues.

Transportation

Frankie is currently in a foster home in Austin, Texas. He can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks.
