Whos tiny, white, curly, and extra fluffy? Well, that's Oscar Mayer for you! Oscar is an approximately 3-year-old Maltese Chihuahua mix, weighing in at about 15 pounds of pure lap dog. He's a sweet boy who is learning the ways of the world and has blossomed into a playful little guy. Oscar is a sensitive soul who likes to take things slow and earns trust with his gentle nature. Once he trusts you, he falls hard and becomes incredibly loyal. He is a cuddle bug who loves to snuggle on the couch or in his cozy bed. Oscar enjoys being your morning coffee buddy, watching you make breakfast, or sitting outside enjoying the sunrise or sunset. He truly seems thankful to be saved and cherishes the simple joys.
Ideal Home
Oscar would be best in a home with a yard because he loves being outdoors. He would do well with older children who can understand and respect his gentle demeanor and need for calmness. While we haven't seen him with cats, his gentle nature suggests he might do well with them, especially in a home with both cats and dogs. We can cat test him if you'd like!
Ongoing Health
Oscar is up-to-date on all his vetting, which includes vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and he has been spayed.
Training & Support
Oscar is already trusted to free roam in the house and sleeps in bed with his foster. He is gentle with other dogs, even an elderly canine sibling, and takes corrections well. He also shares food bowls with his foster siblings without any issues.

Oscar is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track their journey in real time. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
