Meet Chance, a sweet and soulful 4-year-old neutered and vaccinated Staffie mix. He was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Houston after being abandoned, and he truly has an "old soul" that you can see in his gentle eyes. Chance is the perfect blend of sweet, goofy, and loving, always sporting what looks like a big smile and ready to brighten your day. He's a smart boy with a playful, slightly mischievous streak and learns routines quickly. He even has a funny way of "reminding" you when you're running late by standing in the doorway and grunting!
Ideal Home
Chance would thrive in a home with a relaxed, predictable routine. He'd do well with a semi-active family with older kids and another dog his size, or as the beloved only dog soaking up all the attention. He has a strong prey drive, so cats will not be a good fit for him.

Training & Support
Chance is fully house trained and sleeps through the night. He can stay home alone without trouble and is not a fan of having a crate door closed, but is happy napping in open crates or anywhere comfy. While he can be a little stubborn when something interesting catches his attention (like squirrels!), the word "cookie" makes him remember his manners! His love of treats makes him a great candidate for continued training.

Transporation
Chance is currently located with his foster family in Texas. Transports run every few weeks and he will be on the next available transport once approved.
