About Tommy

Meet Tommy – The Gentle Giant with the Million-Dollar Smile! Tommy is a 3-year-old, 75-pound German Shepherd mix who has truly blossomed. He came to us from an overcrowded shelter, initially very shy and fearful, likely due to a difficult past. With patient and gentle foster care, Tommy has transformed into the sweetest, calmest, and most loyal companion. He's a slow-paced, easygoing guy who enjoys lounging on the porch, soaking up the sunshine, and his signature move – lifting his face to sniff the breeze with a big, content smile. He's found comfort in his kennel, learned to use a doggy door, and loves his elevated bed.

Ideal Home

Tommy absolutely requires a slow warm-up period and a quiet, steady approach to building trust. He would likely thrive best in a home with another confident, friendly dog who can help him feel braver and more secure.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned in Tommy's description.

Training & Support

Tommy needs adopters who understand that building trust with him takes time and patience. His foster family is committed to remaining an ongoing resource for his success and will gladly take him back if the adoption isn't the right fit, to ensure he finds the perfect home.
