Zulu

I'm Zulu, a sweet, snuggly, and wonderfully goofy pup with a heart full of love! My striking Husky and Pitbull mix gives me these stunning mismatched eyes and a personality to match. I'm energetic and playful, but I also love to relax and snuggle up, especially with a good chew toy. I'm doing a fantastic job with potty training and only have occasional puppy accidents, but I'm always eager to go outside. I happily go into my kennel with a treat and settle down quickly, though I might whine a little at first. Sleep time in my kennel is no problem – I'm quiet and sleep soundly through the night! I'm not much of a barker, which my humans really appreciate.

I've already mastered "sit" and have a great recall. I'm working on "stay/wait," "down," "shake," and "drop it." I would absolutely love to join you in a training class because I thrive on attention, praise, and treats! I'm also eager to meet and play with other dogs. As a puppy, I love to chew, and I enjoy a good squeaky toy or plastic ball, but I'm easily redirected to appropriate chew toys if I pick up something I shouldn't. Walks are a highlight for me, and I'm learning to be a good walker, though I sometimes get a little zig-zaggy. My favorite motivators are treats, praise, chew toys, and quality playtime.

I currently live with three wonderful children (ages 11 months to 5 years) and I adore them! I love giving them gentle kisses, and they enjoy petting me and having me follow them around. While I'm still learning to be gentle due to my size, I'm getting better at not accidentally stepping on or jumping on them when I get excited. I also have a 9-year-old Pitbull housemate who is a fantastic role model. We enjoy playing together and then taking long naps. He's taught me valuable lessons about being gentle with the kids and not taking their food. I'm playful and curious, yet also snuggly and mellow, especially when I have something to chew on. I think I'm the best of both worlds, with a beautiful face and incredibly soft fur!

My dream day would involve lots of playing with kids and other dogs, a nice long walk or run, some solo time with a bone, fetch in the afternoon, and a cozy evening of snuggles before bed. I'm always trying to sneak into the little girl's bed at night – I'd love to sleep in a human bed! My favorite toys include bones, chew toys, squeaky toys, plush toys, ropes, and balls – I love them all! A healthy mix of play and cuddles is my ideal balance. What makes my tail wag the hardest is definitely attention from people!

Ideal Home

I would love an active family who can keep me busy. A yard with a tall fence is a must, as I'm already a big puppy and might get even bigger. I need space to grow and a family that can handle the immense love I have to give!
