Ideal Home

Sandy does amazing with all dogs and would love to have at least one canine companion in her home to help build her confidence. She has a gentle play style and matches the energy of other dogs, whether they're rambunctious or relaxed. A secure, fenced yard is a must for her to explore safely as she settles in. While she's good with older, respectful children, sudden movements can make her skittish, so a home without very young children would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

Sandy is fully vetted, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also had a heartworm test.

Training & Support

Sandy is fully crate trained and 100% potty trained, with no accidents in foster care! She walks beautifully on a leash, is non-reactive to distractions like squirrels and bunnies, and enjoys short car rides. While she's not highly treat-motivated, Colby Jack cheese is her absolute favorite, making it a great training tool. She's quiet and rarely barks, making her a perfect companion for a peaceful home. She enjoys affection on her own terms, with chin scratches, head rubs, and chest massages being favorites.

Sandy is located in the Greater Houston area. Transport to other locations may be available, with an $87 surcharge. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
