Meet Lucy!
Lucy is a beautiful, mostly black, two-year-old mixed breed dog who is a loyal and loving companion. Weighing about 65 pounds, she finds joy in simple pleasures like a sunny spot in the backyard, a comfortable deck to lounge on, and her favorite plush toy. While she enjoys a good walk and stretching her legs in a spacious yard, her favorite pastime is soaking up the sunshine and staying close to her people. Lucy has received formal obedience training and is mastering commands like sit, place, down, stay, come, and heel. She walks nicely on a leash, comes when called, and settles comfortably into her routine. She can be left alone for six to seven hours during the day and sleeps soundly in her crate at night. Lucy also enjoys car rides and loves being included in everyday adventures. She is affectionate, medium-energy, and wonderfully devoted, forming strong bonds with her family. While Lucy can be cautiously excited when meeting new people, her friendly nature shines through once she feels comfortable.
Ideal Home
Lucy is searching for a calm, quiet home where she can relax, ideally in a rural setting with a large fenced yard. She would do well with adults or families with older children who can provide a more peaceful environment. Lucy is not suitable for a home with young children or cats, and she is sensitive to high-energy environments.
Ongoing Health
Lucy is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and has no medical or dietary restrictions. She is healthy and ready for her next chapter.
Training & Support
Lucy has received formal obedience training and is mastering several commands. She walks well on a leash and comes when called. Her Great Pyrenees herding instincts may emerge in high-energy situations, where she might growl or engage in 'ball-herding' behaviors. With structure, patience, and a calm routine, Lucy's affectionate, easygoing personality will shine.
