Born in December 2021, Skippy is a handsome Husky/Boxer mix with a playful personality and plenty of energy for adventure. He loves staying active and would make a great companion for a family that enjoys walks, hikes, playtime, and other outdoor activities. Skippy has done well with some similarly sized dogs at Wags after proper introductions. He's a young dog who continues to benefit from training, structure, and positive social experiences. Because he can be a little reserved when meeting new people, he appreciates having the chance to get comfortable at his own pace. Skippy is looking for an active family that will continue helping him build confidence and polish his skills. In return, he'll bring lots of fun, companionship, and love to the lucky people who welcome him home.
Ideal Home
Skippy is looking for an active family. A securely fenced yard is important for Skippy, as he enjoys exploring and would love a safe place to stretch his legs and play. Due to his size and enthusiastic play style, he would do best in a home without small children, though he has previously lived with kids and may be a good match for a family with older, dog-savvy children. Like many Husky mixes, Skippy has a strong interest in small animals, so he's looking for a home without cats or other small pets.
