Prospect Pete LA

Prospect Pete is a 5-year-old miniature Dachshund with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He was found as a stray in Louisiana, underweight and suffering from hair loss and double ear infections. Pete has been through a lot, but he's healing well and ready to find his forever home.

Ideal Home

Pete would thrive in a home with women only. He enjoys the company of other friendly dogs and needs someone who is home a lot and can offer him reassurance. He is not a fan of cats.

Ongoing Health

Pete is healing from previous medical issues, including ear infections and hair loss. He has also had a dental cleaning and a chest growth removed.

Training & Support

Pete is not housebroken and sometimes has accidents, often wearing a belly band. He is working on his potty skills and uses potty pads or goes outside with encouragement. He also has trust issues and can be a bit of a project, but he is a fiercely loyal companion for the right person. He has a loud bark.
