About Snickers
Snickers is an adorable Chihuahua boy who weighs about 7.7 lbs. He's social with dogs, children, men, and women, and he loves meeting new friends. This little guy is full of joy and energy. Snickers enjoys running, playing, and being part of the action. He is a small dog with a big personality and a loving heart. He is not a frequent barker and is happiest when he is surrounded by people and companionship. Snickers was born in a home where his future was uncertain. As a tiny puppy, he was promised a secure life, but those plans quickly changed. When the puppies became older and required more care, they were neglected and sometimes left without food. Eventually, we stepped in to help ensure they would have the opportunity to find loving homes. Now Snickers is thriving and looking for a family that will love him for the rest of his life. He is ready to trade uncertainty for security, and he has so much love to give in return.
Ideal Home
Snickers would do best in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. He also needs a family with a genuine intention to rescue a dog, not just adopt, and an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals. Families with experience in dog behavior and training, or those willing to hire a trainer, are ideal. He requires high tolerance and patience for rescued puppies.
Ongoing Health
Snickers has a comprehensive health protocol including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated (DHPPI, Rabies, Bordetella), dewormed, microchipped, and tested for 4DX and heartworm (both negative). He is up-to-date on monthly preventive protection (Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm). A health certificate and vaccine booklet are provided. Please note that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period and may have fears or anxieties due to past experiences.
Training & Support
Snickers is not house-trained and is still young and curious, so chewing is a favorite hobby. His future family should be prepared to provide guidance and plenty of appropriate things to chew. He will need patience and understanding as he adjusts to his new environment.
