Stanley

Stanley is a roughly three-year-old Heeler mix who has been with us for quite some time, patiently waiting for his chance to shine. He's not the most outwardly affectionate dog, and he can be a bit reserved with new people, but beneath that cautious exterior is a good boy who truly deserves a loving home. Stanley has a great time on walks with our Rescue Walkers and has also shown a knack for playing with younger, energetic pups, suggesting he might enjoy a more active environment. He also gets along well with his kennel mate, Rhea, and has shown he can be selective but friendly with other dogs, particularly females. To help him settle in and learn, Stanley participated in the PAWS in Detention program, where he gained valuable basic obedience and socialization skills.

Ideal Home

Stanley would thrive in a home where he can slowly build trust with new people and potentially with another dog, especially a female.

Ongoing Health

Stanley's adoption fee includes his spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, heartworm test, microchip and registration, and a collar.

Training & Support

Stanley learned basic obedience and socialization skills through the PAWS in Detention program. He can be a bit reserved with new people, so patience and a slow introduction process will be key to his adjustment.
