Meet Gina!
Gina is a spirited 1-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois mix, weighing about 56lbs. She was found as a tiny puppy, abandoned in a cardboard box by a busy road, but thanks to a wonderful foster, she's now ready for her second chance at a loving home. Gina is a toy enthusiast who loves to collect them all in her bed and is learning to play fetch, though she's also happy to entertain herself. She's a smart cookie who is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, and doesn't show signs of separation anxiety. She does prefer to enjoy her treats in solitude and is in a "puppy velociraptor" stage, so she'll need guidance on appropriate chewing habits. Gina is suspected to be a large breed when fully grown, and we're looking for adopters who understand the commitment to raising an active, big pup into a well-mannered adult, including regular socialization, positive training, and plenty of exercise and enrichment.
Ideal Home
Gina would do best in an active home with someone who can play with her daily. She enjoys the company of familiar dog friends and currently lives happily with small dogs under 15 lbs and large dogs over 75 lbs. Due to a past attack, she will do best with slow introductions to new dogs. She would likely thrive with another dog in the home for companionship and to help burn off energy. She would do best in a home with older (10 and up) dog-savvy children, as she can be jumpy when excited and is unaware of her size. We recommend a cat-free home as she gets a little too enthusiastic around neighborhood kitties.
Ongoing Health

Training & Support
Gina needs guidance on appropriate chewing habits as she is in the "puppy velociraptor" stage. Adopters should be prepared to provide regular socialization and positive training to help her grow into a well-mannered adult.
