About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix weighing 45 lbs, with an estimated adult weight of 85-90 lbs. She's a delightful blend of sweet, curious, silly, and cuddly, bringing endless entertainment and laughter to her foster family. Coraline adores playing peek-a-boo and will celebrate with happy zoomies when you join in! She's very people-oriented and loves to be near her humans, following them around like a shadow. While she enjoys being close, she's not overly clingy, making her an easy companion. She shows affection with sweet puppy kisses or by resting a paw or her nose on your leg. Coraline has a calm and balanced temperament, making her an excellent work-from-home buddy. She's happy entertaining herself quietly with a toy or bone, and is social with both people and other dogs, greeting new friends calmly before playing or exploring. Coraline is the perfect mix of playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – your future sidekick, shadow, and best friend.
Ideal Home
Coraline thrives on a mix of adventure and relaxation. She enjoys leisurely walks, hikes, patio outings, and cozy evenings on the couch, always happy to be with her favorite people. She’d love a home with a fenced yard for playing and sunbathing. She needs her human home more often than not but would do well with doggy daycare a few days a week. Due to her size and occasional nervousness in busy areas, apartments or condos are not ideal. Coraline needs to have another dog in her forever home and would do well with either calmer older dogs or playful, spunky dogs. She could also happily live with older children and cats.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee includes spay and any necessary veterinary care while in rescue.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still working on mastering leash training and needs extra practice to build confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and will walk beside you with rewards. She alerts her foster to potty needs by pacing at the back door or can use a doggy door. She needs to be taken out every 3-4 hours initially and kept on a consistent schedule.
