Meet Jasper!

Jasper is a soulful three-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie/Rottweiler mix with a stunning merle coat. He's a calm and loving 70-pound companion who enjoys being close to his people. Jasper forms deep bonds and thrives in peaceful surroundings. He's good with children, especially calmer or older kids who understand how to treat him gently, as loud or high-energy play can make him uneasy. This clever boy is food-motivated and knows commands like sit, stay, paw, spin, and "middle"! He's fully house-trained, crate-trained, and content when left alone, making him a great match for someone with a flexible schedule. Jasper enjoys slow, sniffy walks and loves simply being in the same room as his caregiver.

Ideal Home

Jasper would do best in a quiet home with a fenced-in yard and calm, respectful children. He is not suited for homes with loud noises or high-energy play.

Ongoing Health

Jasper has reactivity to unfamiliar dogs, which may manifest as barking or lunging, especially near fences or in close proximity. He is working through this with training and patient support. He has previously been involved in two traumatic incidents with unfamiliar dogs.

Training & Support

Jasper is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He can be reactive towards unfamiliar dogs and benefits from patient support and consistency.
