About Coraline
Coraline is a sweet, laid-back 6-month-old Doberman or Beauceron mix who currently weighs 45 lbs and is estimated to reach 85-90 lbs when fully grown. She has a personality that's a delightful mix of sweet, curious, silly, cuddly, and endlessly entertaining. Coraline's quirky charm will have you laughing daily, especially with her favorite game of peek-a-boo, which often ends in happy zoomies. She's deeply people-oriented and loves to be near her humans, following them around like a shadow without being overly demanding. Her affection is shown in sweet puppy kisses or a gentle paw on your leg as she drifts off to sleep. Coraline possesses an impressively calm and balanced temperament, making her a wonderful work-from-home companion, content to entertain herself quietly with a toy or bone. She's also incredibly social with people and other dogs, greeting new friends calmly before happily returning to play or explore. Coraline is the perfect blend of playful yet laid-back, independent yet loving, and goofy yet intuitive – your little sidekick, shadow, and best friend all in one.
Ideal Home
Coraline would thrive in a home that enjoys a mix of adventure and relaxation, from leisurely walks and outdoor patio outings to cozy evenings on the couch. She needs to be included in her family's daily life and receive plenty of love, exercise, and attention. A fenced yard is a must for her to run and play safely. Due to her size and occasional nervousness in busy areas, apartments or condos are not suitable. She needs to have her human home more often than not but would do well with doggy daycare a few days a week. Coraline's ideal family will spend lots of quality time with her and love her unconditionally for her unique personality.
Ongoing Health
Coraline is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped, and is current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. She has received a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian and has had any necessary veterinary care while in rescue.
Training & Support
Coraline is potty trained and kennel trained. She is still working on mastering leash training and needs additional practice to build confidence on walks. She is treat-motivated and will walk beside you with rewards. She alerts her foster mom when she needs to go outside by pacing at the back door and can use a dog door. A consistent potty schedule of every 3-4 hours is recommended until she settles into her new home.
