His shelter friends describe him as an “old soul.” He can be shy when meeting new friends, but he’ll open up with some time and space. Washington is affectionate, gentle, and smart. He responds to basic commands, rides well in the car, and absolutely loves the water and being brushed. He can be selective with other dogs but is open to meet-and-greets.
