Archer

Hi there! I'm Archer Boone, a handsome 110 lb bundle of fluff who's a mix of Chesapeake Bay Retriever and Hound. I love being right by my family's side, always ready for a good scratch or a fun playtime. My favorite thing in the world is to test the limits of any toy I can get my paws on – I'm a master of dismantling, a champion of tug-of-war, and a fetch enthusiast! When it's time to relax, I find comfort in my crate.

Ideal Home

I'm house and crate-trained and absolutely love spending time outdoors, whether it's sunny, rainy, or snowy! For my safety and to prevent any adventurous escapes, a sturdy fence or a secure tie-out is a must. I enjoy multiple walks each day, but please be aware that I have a strong prey drive. If I spot a critter or passerby, I might just take off on a fast-paced adventure! I'm a bit cautious around smaller dogs and can be protective of my food, so I'd do best in a home without them. I also need a little extra time to warm up to new people and furry friends.

Ongoing Health

I have allergies that make my eyes and ears quite itchy, so I take daily medication for them. I also do best when my diet excludes chicken and hard cheese chews. I am 6 years old as of June 2025, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

I'm a smart cookie and eager to please! I respond well to verbal commands, tasty treats, and even training devices. While I'm eager to learn, remember my hunting instincts and the need for secure containment.
