Ernie

Ernie is a 1-year-old, 84-pound tan mixed-breed (Pit mix) boy with a big heart, a goofy personality, and plenty of love to give. He was surrendered through no fault of his own and is now looking for a fresh start with a family who will appreciate just how special he is. Even though he's still young, Ernie already has a wonderful balance of playful puppy energy and good manners. He's super sweet, affectionate, loves being around people, and is obsessed with bubbles! His goofy nature keeps things fun, but he's also happy to settle down and relax with his favorite humans. At 84 pounds, he's a big boy, but he doesn't realize it--he just wants to be close to his people and included in whatever's going on.

Ideal Home

Ernie is great with kids and elderly individuals, making him a wonderful family companion.

Ongoing Health

All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet.

Training & Support

He walks well on a leash, rides nicely in the car, and is both house trained and crate trained.

• If you rent, you must bring your lease or a letter from your landlord stating you may adopt.
• Adoptions are first come, first served. Simply filling out an application does not mean the animal will be held for you; you must come meet the animal in person to be considered for adoption.

Ernie is located at Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter at 1888 Colbert Danielsville Rd, Danielsville, GA 30633. Viewing and adoption hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
