About Max McLovin the Certified Lover Boy
If you're looking for a dog that's equal parts lovable goofball, affectionate cuddle buddy, backyard adventure pal, and giant squishy-headed best friend, Max McLovin might just be your guy! This boy has the sweetest energy about him and carries himself with a happy, lovable, "I'm just excited to be here!" attitude everywhere he goes. Between his honey-brown eyes, giant pittie smile, and the way he immediately flops over for belly rubs, Max McLovin is the kind of dog that makes people fall for him quickly. He has a personality that feels warm and familiar almost instantly, like reconnecting with an old friend you forgot you missed.
Max McLovin is believed to be an American Staffy mix, approximately 3 years old, and currently weighs 59 lbs. He is a rescue dog, and with any rescue, it's always a mystery, so we cannot guarantee breed or age. What we can guarantee, though, is that this boy is ridiculously affectionate and fully believes physical touch is his love language. Max is the type of dog that will lovingly place his paw on you for attention, stare up at you with those soft honey-brown eyes, and melt into your side on the couch like he's trying to become one with the blankets!
Max absolutely loves people. Every new person he meets is greeted like an old friend he hasn't seen in years. He's sweet, people-oriented, affectionate, and honestly has a very soft, submissive demeanor with humans from everything we've seen so far. He loves attention, loves being included, and seems happiest when he's simply near his people, soaking up affection and quality time. Whether he's lying beside you during movie night, hanging out while you work in the yard, or following you around the house just to see what you're doing, Max truly thrives on companionship and connection.
With other dogs, Max has done great with every dog we've introduced him to so far, and he definitely enjoys having dog friends around. When Max plays, he has a very classic, happy-go-lucky bully boy play style. Think chase games, goofy rumble-and-tumble wrestling, full-body wiggles, bouncing around like a goober, and lots of vocal grumbly play commentary! He gets really excited during play and can sometimes get a little carried away, so his ideal doggy match would be a confident, playful female that enjoys a more rowdy play style, isn't bothered by vocal play noises, and naturally knows how to take breaks when needed. Max responds really well to dogs that help keep play balanced and easygoing. He would also do totally fine as your one-and-only dog, because at the end of the day, people are really his favorite thing anyway.
Ideal Home
Max's ideal home would probably include a backyard where he can stretch his legs, sunbathe dramatically, keep you company while gardening, or just exist outside enjoying the fresh air with his people nearby. Max truly feels like one of those dogs that just wants to be included in life. He doesn't need anything extravagant to be happy. A comfy couch, people to love, snacks, belly rubs, and some sunshine? Honestly, that sounds like his dream life right there.
Ongoing Health

Training & Support
Max is crate trained, potty trained, eager to please, and very food-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding with him. He already knows commands like "sit" and "shake" and honestly seems like the type of dog that would love puzzle toys, snuffle mats, learning tricks, and anything that lets him use his brain while hanging out with his people. He has a really nice medium energy overall and feels very adaptable depending on the lifestyle around him. Want to go explore a trail, take a mini roadtrip, or spend time outside? Max is absolutely down. Want to spend the entire day rotting on the couch binge-watching your favorite show wrapped in blankets? Max has already claimed his cuddle spot next to you!
