Keira

Keira is a 2-year-old, 50lb Border Collie who is looking for her perfect home. She takes a while to trust, but is loyal to her people once she does. Keira is fearful of people and does not easily trust. She can be skittish and is a flight risk if not contained properly. She will build trust with her people after a period of time spent together and trust building, but she is not a ‘people’ dog with new people. She is definitely a dog's dog. She prefers to be with her dog friends and spends her days out in a play yard with 5-7 other dogs. Keira will need a home that understands and is ok with the fact she is not a super lovey dog that will want human attention all the time.

Ideal Home

Keira will do best in an adult-only home that is patient in building her trust and okay with her being aloof and doing her own thing at times. She would thrive in a home with a large fenced yard outside of the city. She is not an apartment/condo/townhome dog. Keira requires at least one other dog around her size in the home, and herding breed experience. She would thrive in a more rural setting with a large fenced yard.

Ongoing Health

Keira is up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Keira is well-mannered and does great hanging out in a fenced yard with her dog friends. She is super active and loves to run around in her current large play yard with other dogs.
