Cookie is a gentle and loving Labrador mix with a sweet, loyal nature. She is approximately 2.5 years old and weighs 48 lbs. She's a wonderful companion who enjoys being close to her people and brings calm, comforting energy to those around her. Cookie gets along well with other dogs and children, making her an excellent family dog. She can be a little nervous at times, especially in new situations, but with patience and kindness, she settles in and shows her trusting heart. One of Cookie’s favorite things is looking out the window, and she especially enjoys car rides or quiet moments at home. Despite a harsh beginning, born underneath a ruined house during freezing temperatures, she has grown into a resilient and loving dog ready for a safe, warm, and forever home.
Ideal Home
Cookie would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard and an active family that enjoys outdoor activities. Families with an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals, experience in dog behavior and training, and high tolerance and patience for rescued pups are ideal.
Ongoing Health
Cookie has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed/neutered, vaccinated for DHPPI, rabies, and bordetella, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Cookie is not house-trained. The rescue invests significant effort in the rehabilitation of rescued pets, but it is an impossible job to house-train each one. Adopters should be prepared to provide education and support for her house-training needs.

Transportation
Cookie is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available for transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest. A transport fee of $400.00 will be paid by the adopter prior to departure.
