Benedict AKA Benny

Meet Benedict, affectionately known as Benny! Benny is a sweet and gentle puppy with soulful eyes and floppy ears that will melt your heart. He's a quiet charmer who is sure to become an incredibly loyal and loving companion. Benny is one of the bigger puppies in his litter and we expect him to reach about 50 lbs full-grown, making him the perfect mid-size dog for both adventures and cozy cuddles. He has a tender, observant nature and forms deep bonds with his people. Benny may be a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and goofy personality shines through. He enjoys playing with his siblings and other dogs but is also content just being near his humans, soaking up love and reassurance. Benny has an emotionally intuitive spirit and loves all dogs, kids, and people, inheriting his mama's wonderful temperament. While he hasn't met cats, his calm and easygoing nature suggests he would likely adjust well with proper introductions.

Ongoing Health

Benny was born with entropion, a common condition where his lower eyelids rolled slightly inward, causing irritation. He successfully underwent corrective surgery to address this, and he is healing beautifully. This procedure will not impact his quality of life, and he is expected to live a happy and normal life. Benny is up-to-date on all his vaccinations, including DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, and Canine Influenza. He has also been dewormed, microchipped, and is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Training & Support

Benny is crate trained and making great progress with potty training. He's smart, eager to please, and responds well to kindness and consistency, learning the basics of good manners.

Transporation

Our rescue is based in Houston, Texas, but we work with foster homes in multiple regions. Transport is available to approved adopters for an additional fee.
