Grace is a bubbly and sweet young girl with a new leash on life after a very rough start. She was rescued as a stray after raising her babies under a fallen tree in the Texas summer heat. She and her pups were brought to the rescue by a caring street dog feeder who thought Grace and her puppies were too cute and sweet to be left on the streets. Sure enough, Grace made lots of friends at the rescue - both 2 and 4-legged kinds! She captured a few hearts already and gets lots of playtime. Of course, she loves squeaky toys, cuddling with her pup friends, and doing zoomies in the courtyard. Although she looks like a Vizsla/Staffy/Bully mixed breed, she has strong herding tendencies. She LOVES being near people and prefers them in a group; she makes rounds of sweet affections to each person nearby but will "herd" any that walk away.
Ideal Home
Grace will do best in a home with people who are experienced with herding dog breeds.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
Transporation
Grace is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee. Pick up locations of transported dogs may vary, including pick up in a nearby state. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
