About Lila

Lila is a young mixed-breed sweetheart with warm caramel coloring, gentle eyes, and the kind of calm, loving presence that makes people fall for her quickly. Around her foster home, the kids lovingly call her “Chocolate Chip,” and honestly… once you meet her, it just fits. She’s sweet, comforting, and impossible not to love.

Lila has a naturally gentle energy. She enjoys playing and being social, but she carries herself with a soft, easygoing confidence that makes her incredibly easy to live with. She’s not the dog demanding all the attention — she’s the one quietly nearby, happy just to be part of the moment. She greets new people with warmth and curiosity, settles easily into new environments, and is completely comfortable with handling. Lila loves being around kids and has that steady, patient temperament that makes her feel safe and trustworthy from the start.

Growing up surrounded by other dogs shaped her into a very social girl. She thrives with canine companionship and truly feels most secure when she has another dog around. She’s playful, submissive, and easygoing with other pups — the kind of dog who reads the room and goes with the flow. Lila is eager to please and responds beautifully to gentle guidance. Her energy level is moderate — she enjoys daily activity and outdoor time but doesn’t need anything intense. A short walk, some playtime, and time with her people are more than enough to keep her happy. One special thing about Lila: one of her eyes looks just a little different after an old injury she had as a baby, where she needed stitches after being bitten. She healed beautifully and it doesn’t slow her down at all — if anything, it just makes her even more unique and lovable. If you’re looking for a gentle, social girl with a sweet soul and a heart ready to belong, Lila — or “Chocolate Chip,” if you ask her foster kids — might just be your perfect match.

Ideal Home

We recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved. Lila thrives with canine companionship and truly feels most secure when she has another dog around. For Lila, we’d love to see a home with another friendly dog sibling to help her continue to shine.

Ongoing Health

Lila's left eye looks a little different due to an old injury from when she was a baby, but it does not affect her vision or slow her down.

Training & Support

Lila is eager to please and responds beautifully to gentle guidance. She’s still learning the basics like leash skills and crate time, but she’s cooperative and adaptable, making her a lovely dog to guide and grow alongside.
