Meet Moxie! This spirited, almost nine-year-old Korean Jindo is searching for a peaceful home where she can be a devoted companion. At 36 pounds, Moxie is a medium-sized girl with a gentle soul and a deep love for routine, calm surroundings, and head scratches. She enjoys playtime, especially tug-of-war, and loves exploring the outdoors on walks or watching for critters in the backyard. Moxie is house-trained and can be left alone for up to 8 hours a day. She knows commands like "sit," "down," and "find it."
Ideal Home
Moxie needs a confident, experienced pet parent who understands her boundaries, especially around food and high-value toys. She has a history of resource guarding and has bitten when these boundaries were not respected. She would do best as the only animal in the home, as she does not get along with other dogs or cats. Moxie is not suited for homes with young children, as toddlers and louder kids make her nervous. She thrives in a structured environment where she can feel safe and understood. Thunderstorms can unsettle her, but a calm presence helps.
Ongoing Health
Moxie is up-to-date on all her preventative care and has been spayed. She is microchipped with lifetime registration and current on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.
Training & Support
Moxie is house-trained but not crate-trained. She is well-behaved when left alone for up to 8 hours. She has a history of resource guarding and has bitten when her boundaries were not respected. She requires a guardian who uses positive reinforcement and is comfortable supporting her continued behavior management.
