Daffy

Daffy is a 2-year-old, neutered male Plott Hound Mix weighing around 65 pounds. He's a resilient and fun-loving boy with a heartwarming story of being rescued from a euthanasia list. Daffy thrives on activity and companionship, and he absolutely adores playing with other dogs! He even attends doggy daycare and has made the honor roll! Daffy is fully house-trained and crate-trained, using his crate as a safe space. He knows his name, comes when called, and enjoys playing catch and being by his person's side.

Ideal Home

Daffy would do best in a home with other playful dogs and an active family who can match his energy. Because of his size and excitement, he'd be a better fit for a home with children over 10, as he sometimes doesn't realize his strength when he gets excited. His compatibility with cats is unknown.

Ongoing Health

Daffy is up-to-date on all vaccinations and has been neutered.

Training & Support

Daffy is still learning leash manners and tends to pull and zigzag, but he is eager to learn with some guidance. When left unsupervised, Daffy may "relocate" household items to the yard, so crating him is recommended while you're away. With patience and training, he'll continue to grow into the wonderful companion he's meant to be. He enjoys his food so much that he uses a slow feeder bowl.

Transporation

Daffy is currently in a foster home in HOUSTON, TEXAS and can be transported to an approved adopter. Transports run every few weeks and he will be on the next available transport once approved.
