Prima Donna is a brindle beauty with a personality as grand as her name! This approximately 1-year-old, 58 lb pittie mix is a true joy-bringer, with a squishy smoosh face and an abundance of wrinkles that are guaranteed to make you smile. She's silly, full of life, and devoted to her people, showering them with affection and making every day brighter. Prima is a natural entertainer, whether she's making you laugh with her goofy antics or leaning in for a deep cuddle. She truly is joy on legs!
Ideal Home
Prima Donna absolutely adores people and would thrive in a home that enjoys visitors, as she believes everyone is her friend. She’d do best with older children, around 15 and up, who are comfortable with big, energetic dogs and can confidently set boundaries. Prima also enjoys the company of other playful, happy-go-lucky dogs who don't mind her enthusiastic play style. A home without cats would be ideal for Prima.
Ongoing Health
Prima Donna is a rescue dog, and as with all rescues, her exact breed and age are a mystery. She is up-to-date on all vetting, which includes DAPP vaccinations with boosters, Bordetella, Rabies, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been tested for heartworms.
Training & Support
Prima is a smart girl who responds well to correction. However, when she gets excited, her impulse control can take a backseat, leading to some mouthiness as she views everything as a game. She needs reminders that using her mouth for affection isn't the preferred method. Prima already knows how to sit, loves treats, and may know 'down.' She walks well on a gentle leader, which helps her stay grounded. She shines with structure, routine, and positive guidance.

Transporation
Prima Donna is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue's USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up points in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Transport includes real-time tracking, photo updates, and a dedicated Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
