Echo (A102387) is a handsome 12-year-old German Wirehaired Pointer who came to us as a stray after he was found enjoying a run with a citizen and their dog. Despite his age, Echo is an active boy who loves to stay mentally and physically stimulated! Recently, Echo had a mishap and injured himself while running at large, and he's now looking for a foster-to-adopt home to help him recover. Our veterinary team has been treating his wound, and he'll need continued care as he gets older. Echo is a smart boy who seems to know basic commands but would likely benefit from a refresher course in basic obedience. He's had a few accidents in his kennel, so he may need some patient potty training as he adjusts to his new home. Echo also has sensitive ears and appears to be sensitive to sedation medications, so please be prepared to discuss these medical needs with your veterinarian. Since he was a stray, we don't know his history with children or other animals, so introductions should be made carefully.

Echo's wound to his side has been well treated by our shelter veterinarian and will need continued care moving forward.
Training & Support
Echo has had accidents in his kennel so he may need some reminders on potty training as he settles into his new routine. He also seems to know his basic commands but may enjoy taking a basic obedience class to sharpen up his manners! Since he came in as a stray, we do not know his experience level with children or other animals. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions.
