Saskia is a calm, thoughtful, and very centered dog who's hoping for a fresh start with someone who will match her gentle energy. She was surrendered due to her owner's medical issues and relocation. At almost 2 years old (born in early 2024), she has tested well with other dogs and would likely be most comfortable in an adult home with an easygoing, steady routine. She loves walks and equally enjoys a nice cuddle. Saskia was thrilled to go on a day trip with a volunteer, who shared her observations: Saskia is not a fan of car rides and can be anxious, but she doesn't bark or howl. She is a perfect walking and hiking companion who never pulls and understands commands. Initially timid with strangers, she warms up with a slow approach and is curious rather than overly excited. She is very friendly with other dogs. Overall, Saskia is an adorable companion who gives a lot of attention.
