Big Mama

Big Mama is a 3-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier mix with an affectionate, athletic, and adventure-loving spirit! She loves going on walks and meeting new people. Weighing in at a healthy 60lbs now, she was found to be quite a bit heavier, but she's doing great! Big Mama was discovered lying in the middle of a neighborhood road and was rescued by a kind couple. Unfortunately, their resident pup wasn't friendly with other dogs, so they had to take Big Mama to the local shelter. As a pittie mix, she was unfortunately placed on the euthanasia list, but thanks to some dedicated networking, we were able to get her to safety! She's incredibly people-friendly and loves to cuddle. Sometimes, she can be a bit unaware of her size, especially when she's zooming around the yard at top speed! She might be a couch potato indoors, but once she's outside, it's playtime!

Ideal Home

Big Mama would do best in a home with only male dogs, as she can be assertive with female dogs. While she enjoys canine companionship, she doesn't require a doggy sibling to be happy. Due to her high energy and occasional unawareness of her size, a home without young children would be ideal.
